We envision a world with safe technology. Choosing safer, faster, wired tech avoids wireless harm.

STRIVING FOR SAFE TECH IN OUR LITTLE STATE

The West Warwick High School Track and Playing Field has a cell tower next to the bleachers. The FCC allows the dangerous proximity of radiofrequency/microwave radiation to pollute spectators, athletes, coaches, students, and staff.

THEY'RE RUNNING THEIR HEARTS OUT, AND   WE'RE NOT PROTECTING THEM.

WHAT'S THE FUSS?

Real progress is future-proof. It does not harm people, pollinators, wildlife, or the planet.

Moreover, we humans have not biologically evolved to exist in the artificially-engineered electromagnetic global environment we are creating.

When brain scans of Fire Fighters showed damage attributable to their proximity to cell towers, the IAFF adopted a Resolution prohibiting the use of fire stations as base stations for cell phone transmission antennas and towers.

WAKE UP CALL FOR RHODE ISLAND

Sheila Resseger has been aware of the growing global impact of man-made electromagnetic radiation since 2019 and has been raising the alarm since 2020. Sheila doggedly attended, testified, and pursued follow-up to public hearings with the RI Public Utilities Commission (PUC) and the RI Department of Environmental Management (DEM)/Office of Air Resources (OAR), championing the rights of Rhode Islanders. Please read her Opinion pieces, below.

Why does the U.S. allow so much more radiofrequency radiation exposure than other countries do? View the chart below.

THE INTERNATIONAL DECLARATION ON THE HUMAN RIGHTS OF CHILDREN IN THE DIGITAL AGE

The International Declaration on the Human Rights of Children in the Digital Age addresses Screen Time Addiction, Involuntary Exposure to Non-Ionizing Radiation, and Commercial Exploitation.

Cindy Russell, MD, illustrates why wireless radiation is a biological toxicant and children have unique vulnerabilities. Scroll down for a list of independent, peer-reviewed, and published studies and reports.

HOW TO OPT-OUT

TO OPT-OUT
CALL RI ENERGY AT 401-784-4300.

The good news is that Rhode Islanders can Opt-Out of the installation of an "Advanced" (AMF) meter on their home. We care about Rhode Island, its people, and its environment. We don't want Radiofrequency Radiation polluting our little state.

Request written confirmation of your intention to both OPT-OUT and keep your current meter. Be sure to post a sign on the current (non-AMF) meter stating your intention to keep it.

Since Rhode Island Energy has subcontracted the installation to Grid One Solutions, call 866-826-8405 to register your opt-out with them as well.
Rhode Island Energy plans to mail Rhode Island residential electricity customers postcards 45 days and 21 days before new meter installation. In these two postcards Rhode Island Energy states, on page 2, that: "Residential customers who are not participating in a program that authorizes the customer to export power to the Company's electric distribution system (e.g., solar or other distributed generation) may opt out of the installation by calling 1-401-784-4300. Those customers who choose to opt-out of an advanced meter will be subject to additional charges on their bill: (1) A meter exchange fee of $36; and (2) A monthly meter read fee of $20, as approved by the Rhode Island Public Utility Commission in late 2024. Customers who choose to opt-out during deployment and prior to installation will not be charged the meter exchange fee but are subject to the monthly meter read fee."

If Rhode Island Energy has already installed an AMF (Smart) meter on your home, you can still Opt-Out. In this case, Rhode Island Energy will charge $36 to replace the AMF meter with a non-communicating meter, which will cost $20 a month to be manually read by the company. Once the smart meter has been replaced, be sure to post a sign on the non-communicating meter stating your intention to keep it.

These meters, whether called "Smart" or "Advanced," are neither. They have not been proven safe, nor have they been proven green. They are potentially dangerous for Rhode Islanders, their pets, and wildlife. Rhode Island Energy has claimed terms and conditions shielding itself from lawsuits:

"The company shall not be liable for damage to the person or property of the customer or any other persons resulting from the use of electricity or the presence of the company's appliances and equipment on the customer's premises."

More information on why we are opting out of "advanced" meters can be found at our Smart Meter tab.
